On Friday 14 January the Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water released a draft policy for a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement for all employees.
The consultation process with staff and Together members has commenced for two weeks and will conclude at close of business on Friday 28 January.
The proposed policy does not specify the dates by which it would be required that employees have their first and second vaccination doses.
Together will continue our ballot of members that commenced in December to determine the union policy on the proposed vaccination mandate. This ballot will close at 5:00pm on Friday 28 January to align with the departmental process.
